CORONAVIRUS

We wanted to let you know that whilst we haven’t been able to see you for routine appointments, we have nonetheless been thinking about Patient Care. With this in mind,
we are pleased to announce that we will be implementing, where possible, a “Contactless Visit” at the practice. This is so that you can still attend your dental appointments, but with peace of mind that all unnecessary points of contact have been removed as much as possible.

At Cheney Manor Dental Practice the most important thing is patient safety and comfort, and that is why we have introduced the following measures to keep our patients and staff safe while at the practice.

*We will ensure that the Practice and waiting areas are not overcrowded. We will do this by leaving suitable gaps between appointments, making sure that you can attend the practice while maintaining a suitable distance from one another in accordance with government guidelines.
*We will also be creating clinics for patients who are most vulnerable, to help minimise contact with others at the practice.
*We will be putting screens up in reception.
*Appointment times and reminders will still be sent via email and text message where appropriate.
*We are setting up forms that can be sent to your email and can be filled out online at home before your appointment. This means that you will not have to touch a pen, paper, or any electronic device other than your own when you attend your appointment. Don’t worry, if you don’t want to do this we can find alternative means.
*Our dental team will thoroughly disinfect the dental surgery between every appointment. This will reduce the risk of patient exposure to anything harmful while in the chair.
*Dentists, Hygienists and Nurses will be fitted properly with the correct PPE.
*There will be hand sanitiser stations in reception and throughout the practice to ensure good hand hygiene is encouraged.
*And finally, as you leave the practice, we will ask that you make payment by card and contactless where possible or over the telephone.
*For patients who feel concerned about the increased use of technology, please do not worry. We will do what is suitable and accessible for you. These measures are just in place to help reduce contact points throughout the practice.

If you have any further questions about these measures, or anything else prior to your appointment, please contact us.

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to keep informed about updates to the practice.
